Our Weekend in Pictures

We have been making memories this past week with friends and thought we would write a quick summary in one big post. Hope you enjoy!

18th Birthday Party

First, we attended our friend's debut (18th birthday celebration). Here in the Philippines, it is traditional for young girls to have an extravegant celebration for their 18th birthday. Here are some pictures of Karisse Quimbao's debut.

Melissa, até Charisma, and Meagan accompanied one singer before the celebration, with the flute, violin, and a keyboard.:-)

Here are all of the participants with the birthday girl. The girls participated by each lighting a candle for one of the 18 birthday cakes, and the boys each presented Karisse with a rose. (This whole birthday celebration reminded us of a wedding.:-) We'd never before been to a birthday party such as this!)

Swimming Party

We had such a good time with these girls from church on Saturday. They came over to our house for an afternoon of swimming and fellowship. (Put several girls in one pool and you're guaranteed to have all kinds of laughter and fun!) After several hours of pool time, we all ended the afternooon with a visit to the mall.:-)

Our Last Texas Instrument's Party

Saturday evening, several of us Texas Instruments families gathered at the Wade's house for one final TI party, which gave everyone a chance to bid farewell to those moving home to Texas this weekend and next week. We treasured our last evening together and will miss those who will be leaving.




With all these recent activities the past few weeks, we are  so thankful once again for the time we had to spend with these friends. We have enjoyed getting to know them all (Church friends, TI friends, and even neighbors) over the past 2 years. We treasure their friendships and each moment we spend with them.... especially as our time here is coming to a closure. It makes us realize how precious time really is!:-)
