Visiting Victory Christian Church

We have now been in Manila one full week! This morning, we visited a local international church in Manila called Victory Christian Fellowship, which is a part of Every Nation’s Church. Apparently the church body is so large that their Sundays are filled with services. In fact, the church offers services every two hours starting at 9:00AM and ending at 7:00PM!

The first forty-five minutes of the service consisted of praise and worship songs. During the second half we listened to a guest pastor, who delivered a really good sermon on the topic of serving God. One of the points that we walked away with was “full satisfaction only comes when we serve God with a whole heart.”

After the service we walked outside and waited for our ride back to the hotel. As we stood next to the church building, a Filipino couple walked up, introduced themselves, and welcomed us to their church. They were very friendly and invited us back to their church for future Sundays, although next Sunday we are planning to visit another church in Manila: a reformed Baptist church.
