Unfortunately, in the beginning of Monday’s game, Dad jumped and landed wrong on his foot. We did not think much of it at first, but through the night and into the next morning the swelling and pain increased to the point where he could not bear to walk on it. Thankfully after getting an x-ray to make sure nothing was broken, we found out that he only has a bad sprain.
The doctor gave instructions for him to use crutches and keep his foot elevated while doctoring it with ice. Haha….finding crutches was interesting since tall sizes are no where to be found! But as far as Dad is concerned, short crutches are better than nothing—even if they barely come past his waist. His foot is still very swollen and definitely too swollen to even drive himself to work. But he has kept a good attitude, for we have not heard any complaining coming from him. (Maybe that is because he is getting spoiled with all four of us waiting on him anytime we hear a little moan or see him wince when he puts too much pressure on it.:-) Haha!)
We are praying that his foot will heal soon. This has affected his work somewhat, since he is not able to walk around and survey the work site very easily with crutches! We would greatly appreciate your prayers for his speedy recovery.

Your poor dad!! I'll be praying for him. My mom sprained her ankle sometime last year and I remember how painful that was for her. I know ya'll are great nurses!!
