Oh how we wish that we had our camera handy today for a candid shot! This afternoon as we were driving home on a fairly busy two-lane highway, we witnessed the most picture-perfect moment. Downtown Angeles City, we saw this little old lady (maybe in her 80’s?) calmly crossing a crowded highway with the help of her cane. She looked so adorable as she slowly yet confidently crossed the street by simply holding out her feeble hand to stop the oncoming traffic.
We were amazed at how quickly the traffic from this highway stopped to let “lola” (grandma) cross with her cane. No one honked their horns or seemed to get frustrated. They patiently paused to let this dear old lady safely reach the other side. It was definitely one of those moments when we wished we had our camera.:-)
