After moving into our home in Angeles City, we girls and mom have discovered our newfound fear: Geckos! ;-) They are all over the place and even in our house! At first we only saw one (or at least we thought it was the same one) in our back rooms. Now we find these little guys in our kitchen cabinets, on the ceilings, near the windows, and some occasionally creeping up the stairs at night. For some reason, we named the gecko (more like geckos) in our house “beep.” So, every time one of us sees one of our special friends, we just scream and yell, “Beep!” And then everyone automatically understands what happened. ;-)
Mom and Dad have even found a tiny “beep” stuck to their cabinet paint in their bathroom! The poor thing (we actually did feel sorry for this one) must have gotten stuck on the wet paint when the house was built and died there! His skeleton still remains—kind of a sad death.Melissa has probably had the most recent experience with a “beep.” The other night she was closing one of our windows, and just as she reached for the window a gecko jumped away from the windowsill and landed right next to her feet! Of course her reflexes and vocal cords were working at top notch by that time. ;-) Melissa let out a surprised scream and did an extremely fast “tap dance” on the floor to avoid stepping on this little guy! It was very amusing to watch from the other side of the room!
Being in our new house has definitely been interesting. If any of you come visit us (which we would LOVE for you to), we will introduce you to our gecko friends and all kinds of other interesting experiences over here!:-)

I can understand how you all must feel about sharing your home with geckos! Eekkkk! We have lots of them around our house in the summer, but for the most part they stay outside. Too bad you don't have Graham there. He thinks nothing of catching them and liberating them outside.
I felt sooo sad for the poor little one that got caught in the paint.

What interesting little companions! I remember always seeing them on our trips in Mexico. Kind of intimidating!

We have really enjoyed your "Beeps" story. If Madison were there she would be catching all of your Beeps for you. She had a gecko that just passed away recently. I'm sure she would be happy to take some off your hands. HAHAHAHA!! We miss you all terribly, but know that you are doing well.
