The Ring of Fire and the buzz of bees! As many of you may know, the Philippines is situated along the ring of fire, which means they have several volcanoes in the country. This past Saturday, we had the experience of actually seeing one! The volcano that we saw was not an active one—thankfully.:-) This Taal volcano—located several hours south of Manila—in the area of Tagatay is a popular tourist attraction.
On our way home from the volcano, we decided to hit two birds with one stone and visit a local bee farm.:-) This bee farm was not run by the same beekeeper that we met at the Coconut Exhibit; however, we hope to visit him and his hives on the roof sometime soon. :-) We decided to share our experience with you in a few words.

Gray, hazy skies….shy sun rays….sunglasses….distant Taal volcano….an encompassing crater lake….cool, refreshing breeze….lush, green vegetation….abundant pavilions….persuasive vendors passing by….loaded picnic baskets and coolers....impressive Filipino picnic spread….fresh grilled fish wrapped in banana leaves….ripe, juicy pineapple….fresh, herbal chicken salad….homemade oatmeal cookies….joyful laughter….Tagolog lessons and practices:-)….genuine Christian fellowship….cherished memories.

Lofty palm trees….unique tropical vegetation….vibrant orange blossoms….scattered bee hives….special observation hive….buzzing of bees….sweet, dark, and viscous honey….healing bee products…. coffee, mango, and coconut honey…. delicate beeswax candles and creations….smooth, herbal beeswax soaps….jingle of change….impressive bee architecture....home-away-from-home for our beekeepers (Sarah and Dad).:-)
As we end this blog post, we just wanted to leave you with a little encouragement to take time to enjoy the beautiful and perfect blessings from God today.
