Thanksgiving is always one of our favorite holidays! The opportunity to express our gratitude to the Lord and the time to spend with family and friends all make this holiday so special. (Of course, the delicious food and beautiful weather are an added plus!) :-)Although, we missed our family back home as well as the cool weather and colorful trees this year, we enjoyed a very special Thanksgiving celebration.:-) Our pastor and his wife (the only other Americans in our church besides us) invited the Santos family from church and our family over to their home for dinner.
As soon as we walked into the Quinlan’s house for dinner, we were greeted with more than a friendly ‘hello.’ With the fresh aroma of Thanksgiving dishes and the homey feel with a touch of Thanksgiving decorations, we almost felt like we were going to “Grandma’s” for Thanksgiving. :-) It’s amazing how much smells, sights, and sounds can bring back memories!Between Mrs. Quinlan and us Feenys, we cooked all those delicious, traditional Thanksgiving foods and desserts. One thing was for sure, we had plenty of leftovers! Funny, how that seems to be the case almost every Thanksgiving.:-)

We had such a good time visiting with everyone, and the Mr. and Mrs. Santos enjoyed experiencing their first Thanksgiving celebration with us all.:-) We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well. May we never forget to thank the Lord for His numerous blessings in our lives!
“Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow.” - James 1:17
