This past weekend, several Texas Instruments families threw a baby shower for Mrs. Wang. (Her husband also works with TI). She and their daughter are leaving soon for Taiwan where she will deliver her baby and then remain there for a few months. So this baby shower was a combination of a congratulations and a farewell party. It was sad to say goodbye but exciting to know that they will have a new family member.
It was quite humorous, because we thought Mrs. Wang knew that the party was for her. We did not know that we were surprising her! But it was Mr. Wang who decided to keep the whole plan a secret and let her find out about the details of the dinner party once she arrived.:-)
So she came on the night of the baby shower assuming that they had only been invited for dinner along with everyone else. She soon realized the purpose of the party when she started receiving gifts as well as everybody’s hearty congratulations. She was so surprised and touched to realize that it was all for her and her new baby. Special moments!
The Wang Family
The Wangs are such a sweet family. We have enjoyed our short time with them as they have been here in the Philippines with the Texas Instruments project. They have been such energy-givers with their enthusiastic smiles and joyful attitudes.:-)
God has taught us many things through the lives of other people, and the Wang family is one example. God reminds us that being an energy-giver impacts the lives of others—no matter how long or how short of a time we may spend with a person. As He brings many new friends into our lives and new opportunities, we pray that through His grace we may be energy-givers for Him.

How sweet and what fun that it was a surprise! Baby showers are aways such wonderful times of celebrating a new little life!
Sarah!
I just saw the pictures of your voice performance! You look so great, love the costume and especially the picture with your hands folded! :) This looks like a major production. My mom wanted me to pass along that she thinks you look like a natural she's wondering if Broadway is next!
Just wish I could have been there to hear it!
Love,
Megan
Megan, I think that was my first and last performance,... I don't think they would ever ask me back again... haha... looking at the picture, it seems the timing is a bit out of sync:-) hehe ...some forgot the motions:-) (that's what happens when you don't learn them until the day before!) It was a fun experience though....
